FILMARCHIVE
Apodosz Film Collection
We are engaged for years in dance theatre projects, especially the relations of the art of movement and motion picture.
It was in 2005 when we undertook collecting archives:
Safe Contemporary Art Studio and Filmarchive established a film archive for research and it asks for replicas from national and international, contemporary, alternative dance theatre performers and companies, from dance theatre workshops, studios and festivals.
Our institution undertakes collecting and cataloguing the films of our partners. They are accessible for registered researchers of dance history, theatre and film in case of naming a concrete professional aim.
Own professional program - We screen the films free of charge at the events of Dance/Film/Work/Shop.
We provide screening material for the dance film history course of PTE University of Pécs, Centre for the Study of the Moving Image.
We collaborate with universities and international organizations to forward the case of dance film and of initiatives which research the relations of the art of movement and motion picture.

Apodosz_ON archive
Our long-term plan is to build up an online library system. It will be a public catalogue of selected local and international dancefilms from Apodosz Film Collection extensive archive. The collection will be a key resource for artists in the field, by providing access to these selected works within a cultural and educational framework.
It represents a significant and continually expanding resource that has previously been inaccessible to those outside the organisation.
This online library will also play an important role in promoting artists and connecting audiences with quality examples of work from both Hungary and overseas, whilst maintaining a commitment to the stewardship and preservation of the collection.
